Frequently Asked Questions about Paragliding
They are incredibly strong and completely safe. Every single line is made of Dyneema or Kevlar—materials used in bulletproof vests and space technology. A single line can support a load of 250 to over 400 kilograms. This means a total capacity of several tons holds us in the air, engineered to withstand up to 8G forces.
As a passenger, you do not need any previous experience. During the pre-flight preparation, your pilot will give you all the necessary instructions for takeoff, flight, and landing, so you can fully relax and enjoy the experience.
Safety is always our top priority. Due to technical equipment limitations and the nature of the flight itself, flying is not permitted for the following groups of passengers:
Physical and age limitations:
- Children under 6 years of age (for minors, the presence and signed consent of a parent or guardian is mandatory).
- Persons over 80 years of age.
- Persons whose weight exceeds 100 kg.
- Persons whose height exceeds 200 cm.
Health and medical conditions:
- Pregnant women.
- Persons with heart problems.
- Persons suffering from epilepsy or severe vertigo (chronic dizziness).
- Persons with spine, hip, or leg injuries that prevent them from running a few steps.
Important note for take-off: For a safe tandem take-off, it is necessary for the passenger to be able to run a few steps following the pilot’s instructions. If you have lower limb injuries that prevent you from doing so, please contact us before booking. The final assessment of the maximum weight on the day of the flight is made by the pilot based on the current wind conditions.
Becoming a tandem pilot is a rigorous process designed to ensure passenger safety. It includes:
-
Experience: After obtaining a solo license, a pilot must have at least two years of active flight experience and a minimum of 100 flight hours.
-
Specialized Training: Candidates undergo rigorous training focused on safety protocols and specific techniques for handling large tandem gliders.
-
Examination: The final test includes theory and a practical exam where an instructor acts as a passenger to evaluate the candidate’s skills.
-
International License: Upon passing, the pilot receives an internationally recognized license that must be renewed every four years, ensuring our pilots maintain peak proficiency.
